Open House at School

We had a dinner and Open House and Davis and Maggie's preschool. They were excited to introduce us to some of their new friends and show us some of their artwork. We also took picts with their teachers since Mom forgot to do that the first day of school. :)

Davis with his assistant Mrs. Jennifer who teaches him Bible stories he comes home talking about

Making Rice Krispie treats

We have been talking about pets at school, so had to take some recent picts of us with our buddy, Chuck

Maggie LOVES playing dress up! Davis like to wear his knight gear and ride his stick horse and try to rescue Maggie, but she clearly doesn't want to be rescued! It's entertaining!

Movie with Aunt Anne and Aunt Ellen

We went to Aunt Anne and Uncle Chips house to watch a movie and play. Aunt Ellen drove to play, too. Our aunts wanted to take us to the theater, but the Winnie the Pooh movie they had in mind was no longer showing. We had a lot of fun just playing at the house and Mom and Dad got to go on a dinner date.

Hanging with Mo

Grammy and PaPaw let Mo stay with us while they helped Alexis and Claire move to Kentucky. The kids were pretty excited about this, particularly Davis. Mo was his buddy at the Lake when Maggie was gone and slept in the big kid room with them when we were at home. Although Davis said he was going to fight Dad, Mom, Grammy, and PaPaw if Grammy and PaPaw tried to take Mo home, he came around and hugged him good bye. In his prayers that night, he thanked God for letting Mo visit and prayed that Mo had safe travels. He has a special place in his heart for dogs--a little like his Dad! :)

Preschool Started...

Preschool has started and Maggie and Davis are both going 3 mornings a week at our church. We are excited about their teachers and all they will learn this year. Maggie thinks she is such a big girl and loves putting her bookbag on in the morning. Davis can usually take it or leave it in the morning, but enjoys it once he's there and talks Mom's ear off about all he did when she picks him up. Mom loves him sharing about his day and how he asks Maggie about hers. Maggie chimes in with lots of details too. (Mom is learning what it's like to go to a dr appt without children in tow and how much you can get done in an hour by yourself.)

Maggie's Visit to Charleston

Maggie was so excited to go visit Nana and Gdaddy by herself.  Anything that makes her feel like a big girl or like Davis, she is all about it! She talked about what she was going to do with her grandparents earlier in the week and had a ball soaking up the attention.

We met Nana and Aunt Kay at Chick fil A. It was great to see Aunt Kay!

I have arrived!

Gdaddy and I were excited to see each other when he got off of work.

Enough pictures already! Playing at the playground.

We visited the Aquarium. I loved seeing all the fish!

Cheeseburger

I'm an Octopus!

Swimming with Gdaddy at their neighborhood pool. I am such a great swimmer these days!

Playing with Carter at the beach. We met up with the Schumachers for a picnic

Talking to Davis on the phone. I think he might have missed me a little. :)

Nana painted my toes twice while I was there. I ask to get my toes painted all the time.

Davis and I meeting up at the mall. Needless to say, we were excited to see one another.

Grandmomma came with us to lunch and watched us ride the Merry Go Round

Davis with Mom and Dad

While Maggie was visiting Nana and Gdaddy, Davis soaked up some one on one time with Mom and Dad. He loved talking to Maggie every day and asked when she was coming home, but seemed pretty content with having undivided attention. We went to the lake for the weekend, Tim and Davis went camping, and Mom and Davis made one more trip to the zoo.

Floating in the water. We did lots of swimming.

Of course we had to make one boat ride to get ice cream.

Dad and Davis assembling their tent to camp on the dock.

Roasting marshmallows on the grill.

Enjoying a s'more with Mom. We let her eat with us, but the overnight camping was boys only!

Reading a book by flashlight in the tent. Davis loved camping and wants Dad to take Maggie next time. He promised once it cooled off.  Chuck slept on the dock and was their watchdog. :)

On an elephant at the zoo

Mom and Davis on the red caboose of the train. Mom loved having a date with Davis before we picked up Maggie.

Meeting Miss Belle

A friend of mom's from the gym has some horses and said we could come check them out. We bought some apples and carrots to take with us and had so much fun. The horse we got to hang out with the most was Miss Belle. She was such a sweet horse!

Davis petting one of the horses

Maggie feeding her a carrot. She loved feeding them! Of course her and D snacked a little bit too.
