Valentine's fun

Holidays are all the more magnified and exciting with two preschoolers in the house. We have fun with them! Here are some Valentine's stuff we did.
Writing M on my Valentine's (mom helped me write the rest) and stickering them up! It's hard work when you're all dressed like a princess!
We bagged goldfish and put these stickers on them to give to our friends.
We made bird treats in heart shapes for our cousins and teachers. We made a bunch of butterfly ones for our yard and the birds loved them!
He's stolen his mom's heart for sure!
Happy Valentine's Day! Crashing after all the sweets. Sleeping babies are so sweet though.
Special Vday pancakes and bananas for you bananas! My other little heart stealer.

Last week of January and February 2012

I apologize for the lack of updates.  It's been a combination of technical difficulties, no time, and then just straight up too daunting to tackle, but I'm back to fill in the gap. Hopefully I won't let it get this neglected in the future.
While playing catch up, I am hitting the hilights, so if we saw you or even did something super cool with you and it's not posted, I'm sorry. Life is busy, but life is GREAT!
Brooks is either super serious or super smiley these days. He doesn't really have an in between. This is his poker face!
All you really have to do is sing to get a smile out of this kid. And you don't even have to be good. We all know what his mom's singing skills are like!

Good work Santa. Brooks loves this activity mat!
Rolling all around these days. I prefer back to stomach, but I'll do either. :)
Maggie and Dad went to a local Daddy-Daughter dance and had a dinner date.  Maggie kept calling it the Dance Party and was so excited to get dressed up and pick out Dad's clothes, too.
The boys and mom had a movie night and made ice cream sundaes!
This is a little out of order. Brooks trying rice cereal for the first time--Jan 29. The boy is not afraid to eat!
Davis is doing awesome with his letter recognition and has memorized several books he likes to read to his baby brother. Davis might be Brooks' biggest fan. I don't know--he has a lot of competition, but he is great with him.
First real food--avocado
Second food--green beans.
Painting some birthday cards
Loving some carrots--I haven't found a food I won't eat yet!

Brooks Baptism

We planned Brooks Baptism the same weekend as Maggie's birthday. I don't recommend back to back entertaining like this with small children, if anyone thinks it might be a good idea. :) We were blessed to have so many with us to share this special day. Family came to enjoy a brunch at our house after our church service. It was a fun weekend!

Brooks with Rev Grady and Aunt Kiki, his Godmother
It speaks volumes of our supportive families to have so many with us and is so reassuring to have so many people to help teach our children about the Lord.
I am #1 today!
This tongue smile is so Brooks and so hilarious!
Pretty cool that Aunt Kiki got my first laugh out of me this weekend.

Maggie turns 3!

It's hard to believe our sweet girl is already 3. She is such a treat and we had so much fun celebrating her birthday this year.
Celebrating with cupcakes at school and my birthday crown my teachers let me make

This is what I chose for my birthday dinner to celebrate with the 5 of us--chicken fingers, applesauce, and fries.  Easy enough!

Maggie had a Princess and Knight birthday party. You know we love a theme, so had fun with it!
Maggie by the castle Dad made for her party. The castle was a hit! All the kids loved playing in it. Maggie posed like this without prompting so we could take her picture. :)

Maggie and her brothers ready for the party to begin

Aunt Elle and her friend Lizzie helped turn the boys into knights and helped the princesses dress up and accesorize. We had lots of fun!

Decorating crowns with Aunt Kiki (the knights decorated shields!)

Happy Birthday to Maggie! (This wasn't Mom's best cake, but Mags was excited about it!)
